Simultaneous cooling of the shaft and nut: Cooling ball screw by NSK (Nippon Seiko)
The coolant circulates evenly inside the nut, effectively cooling both the shaft and the nut, as well as the ball screw!
It is possible to simplify the cooling of ball screws, which is effective for increasing the speed of machine tools. Cooling is achieved by circulating coolant inside the nut. By simply piping to the outer circumference of the nut flange, a cooling effect equivalent to that of a hollow shaft ball screw can be obtained. By optimizing the cooling structure inside the nut, the temperature rise of the screw shaft is kept equivalent to that of core cooling. By combining the cooling mechanism with a single nut and a high-rigidity double nut system, thermal expansion is suppressed, enabling stable heavy cutting. *For more details, please refer to the catalog PDF.
